Robert S. Lipschitz
Since joining the firm in 2006, Mr. Lipschitz has worked with the real property litigation group, primarily focusing on eminent domain and tax appeal matters.
Mr. Lipschitz has led cases involving governmental acquisition of real property, including roadway access, relocation assistance, and environmental remediation of properties being acquired. Mr. Lipschitz has handled hundreds of condemnation cases for all types of public purposes, including bridge reconstruction, parkland acquisition, recreational trail creation, and roadway construction. Mr. Lipschitz also works closely with appraisers, engineers, professional planners, and environmental consultants to obtain exceptional results for clients at hearings and trials before the New Jersey Superior Court.
As part of the firm's tax appeal practice group, Mr. Lipschitz represents taxpayers and municipalities in litigated matters before the Tax Court of New Jersey and the various County Tax Boards.
Since joining the firm in 2006, Mr. Lipschitz has also represented corporate, governmental, and private clients in matters relating to real property litigation, collections and employment disputes.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Lipschitz was the Senior Articles Editor for the Rutgers Law Review, served as a student-attorney for Rutgers Constitutional Litigation Clinic, and served as a civil mediator for the New Jersey Superior Court in Essex County.
