We represent the designated redeveloper of a large residential development to be located on the site of the former U.S. Army Marine Ocean Terminal in Bayonne (MOTBY). The redevelopment involves a approximately 65 acre parcel of land and up to 1,348 residential units.
The City of Bayonne adopted the Peninsula at Bayonne Harbor Redevelopment Plan in 2005. In 2006, the Bayonne Local Redevelopment Authority designated Bayonne Bay Developers, LLC as the redeveloper of a portion of the Bayonne Bay District.
Our representation to date has included the negotiation of a complex Redevelopment Agreement with the local redevelopment agency. Because the property is the site of a former Army facility, our expertise in environmental remediation is an important component of the representation.
We will be involved in the land use permitting for this large development, which anticipates a five phase build out over a substantial period of time.
